DVA Podiatry Funding

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) provides comprehensive podiatry services to eligible veterans, war widows, and widowers. This funding ensures that veterans receive the necessary foot care to maintain optimal mobility and overall health. At Elite Foot Care on the Sunshine Coast, we are proud to offer DVA-funded podiatry services, ensuring our veterans receive the care they deserve.

Eligibility for DVA Podiatry Services

To be eligible for DVA-funded podiatry services, individuals must hold a DVA Health Card—either a Gold Card or a White Card with approved specific conditions. The Gold Card provides access to comprehensive health services, including podiatry, while the White Card offers treatment for specific conditions or injuries sustained during service.

How to Access DVA Podiatry Services

Accessing DVA-funded podiatry services at Elite Foot Care is straightforward:

  1. Obtain a Referral: Veterans need a referral from their General Practitioner (GP) to access podiatry services under the DVA funding scheme.
  2. Book an Appointment: Once the referral is obtained, veterans can book an appointment with one of our qualified podiatrists at Elite Foot Care.
  3. Receive Tailored Care: Our podiatrists will perform thorough assessments and provide tailored treatment plans to meet individual needs, ensuring comprehensive foot and lower limb care.

For ongoing treatments, a new referral from your GP is required every 12 months to continue receiving DVA-funded services.
